TCC Worldwide Online Conference: April 18-20, 2017
Technology, Colleges and Community (TCC), is a worldwide online conference attended by university and college personnel including faculty, research associates, academic support staff, counselors, student services personnel, students, and administrators (from the TCC website). UAF eLearning purchased a registration for all UA faculty, staff and students.
Check out the schedule. Times on the schedule are Hawaii - Aleutian Standard Time, which is 2 hours behind Alaska Daylight Time.

Once you register, you can login on the schedule page. Attend any session(s) that interest you. Sessions are 45 minutes and 20 minutes in length and hosted in Blackboard Collaborate. Keynotes are in Adobe Connect. Make sure to do the technical check before your preferred session starts.
Summer course in online teaching
I will be teaching Tech 490 Designing and Teaching an Online Course this summer. It will be in UAOnline soon and available for tuition waiver. Here's the course description:
Provides practical and theoretical advice and support for the design and development of an online course. It models current best practices, facilitates sharing online, demonstrates a variety of tools and strategies available in the Blackboard environment, and provides direct instruction about online teaching and learning. All required work relates to an online course that the class member is developing or revising.
There will be five or six synchronous online class meetings on Tuesday nights during the semester.
